I didn't see a thread for the Samuel Merritt University ABSN Spring 2014, and decided to get one going. Not much to talk about now, applications are in, just wanted to if anyone heard back yet from the school or when we can expect to hear from them. Good Luck everyone!

Hi everyone, I've been checking this board for a little while but this is my first post. I hope you are all hanging in there! I got my phone call yesterday evening, and the voicemail said that e-mails for those accepted to San Mateo wouldn't go out until Monday, so it sounds like they were running behind. (That, and it took until after 5:00 for the phone call.) Best of luck to everybody!

Thanks for the update shmee484. I wonder how many phone calls were made...? So far 2 people on these boards have been accepted...anyone else hear anything?

Did/does anyone have classes in progress? To the people who were accepted/waitlisted, do you have any classes in progress? I know they stated that preference is given to all who have all their classes completed...

dunno what number. I was just being persistent because my continuing prerequisites for direct entry crna and pa programs was based on my acceptance. From what I have been informed everyone should be notified on 16 Sep. the list was finalized yesterday. Best of luck to everyone else. Still crossing my fingers. I'm not sure how factual it. Is but the individual that I spoke with said normally they end up taking 99% of applicants who get wait listed as well. I literally just finished my prereqs for the program last week and when I applied I only had 2 completed. I had anticipated to be wait listed but was being hopeful at the same time.

Ahhh! So nerve racking! Congrats on the waitlist even tho it's prob not what you had anticipated... It sure beats being denied tho? On the brighter side, it seems like people who were waitlisted in past cohorts were able to get in based on previous discussion threads? I know the waiting game sucks!

Oh I confused your stats with another persons. I definitely loaded up on volunteer work as well and felt like i couldve done more extracurriculars, but i guess there isnt anything i can do now. I did not so well on the teas so im worried about that as well :(. Ugh i hope we get in.

very true, nothing we can do now... but i hope we get in too! October seems so far!
