My question is "If a citizen of the philippines attended an LPN program in the Philippines, who is also a fiance of a US citizen and plans to reside in the USA with her spouse in the future, has taken and passed the NCLEX-PN, and can legally work in the USA be able to get an LPN license based on her credentials?" In other words, are they any accredited LPN programs in the Philippines that is recognized by any state BON in the USA?

yes of course they can drop at any point. They would just lose the non-refundable $350 deposit. But it happens. I just paid $250 at another school and am dropping because of Samuel Merritt University. It just sucks for those who are notified last minute that have to move a long distance.

Also after speaking with an admissions rep I was informed everyone that was offered acceptance has until Feb 1st to confirm. It wasn't made clear what was all required as I did not see an acceptance packet in the email. I went ahead and paid my deposit and initiated my background check.

I am having trouble finding the group as well. The search turns up with zero results. Possibly due to privacy settings.

I need to find sometime to come out there to look for an apartment. Ideally I want to be as close to campus as possible.

I have been accepted to both SMU Summer 2014 - April start date and Roseman University in Nevada Feb 2014 start date. I was planning on going to Roseman but then got my SMU acceptance last week so now I am confused because I am suppose to sign for my lease and attend orientation tomorrow for Roseman. However SMU was my number one pick and it has great reviews. On the other hand Roseman was a last minute ordeal and I have read a lot of bad reviews.

Is tuition broken up over the terms or is it lump sum first day of class?

Yes a FB group would definitely be beneficial for our cohort in order to help pass information along and reach out to one another for questions. Does anyone know what cohort number our class will be? I am also looking for a room but have never actually been to San Mateo. Any suggestions? - Michael

I forgot to mention that I initially had only received an email from SMU assigning me a student id and password for mysmu. I thought this was odd but suspected that this meant I had gotten accepted. I contacted an admissions counselor who verified my acceptance status and stated that I should have received an acceptance email as well. She also mentioned their systems do not work well with GMAIL (which I have and since updated to a new provider). So it is possible if anyone is using GMAIL that you did not get a letter when you should have. Guess it does not hurt to call and ask!

Hey gang, I am late on this thread as I kinda ruled SMU out after submitting my application and getting accepted into 2 other nursing programs at (BSN) South University in Virginia Beach, VA and (ABSN) Roseman University of Health Sciences. However Samuel Merritt University San Mateo was my number one pick out of all schools that I have applied to. I got an acceptance email on the morning of JAN 23rd for APR Cohort. I am relocating from the east coast and working out the logistics now. I love the bay area and am stoked about getting in this program. Good Luck to everyone thats still waiting. I know its a killer!

I know you can do the pharmacology with University of Phoenix online and it is approved by Samuel Merritt. I think the course is a 4-5 weeks long and starts almost every month. Patho? not sure, South University starts in October and perhaps they might offer the course online... not sure though. if you live near a campus you can always take the ground course with them....
