Hi everyone! I'm starting this discussion for those who applied for SMU ABSN program for the Fall 2024 cohort! I was curious if anyone has received updates/email yet. I personally applied to the Sacramento program. Good luck everyone! I

Hi! For those of you that got in, first of all Congrats!! 🙂 and second, did they give a deadline for your decision letters? Just trying to see when we may expect some movement on the waitlist from people declining or not responding. Thank you 🙂

I haven't. I have emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OF INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) last week with no response. I called yesterday and was told they couldn't give an update and only admissions can. She said just wait for (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OF INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) to reply and suggested I send another email so I sent another one yesterday. Probably won't send another if he doesn't respond. Any one else hear anything or see any movement?

Hi, letters of intent for those admitted are due on July 9th. I would assume that after that date they will start going through the waitlist and offer positions.

I messaged the Admission Counselor yesterday and this was her response: 

Today was the deposit deadline for those admitted. After the end of this week, I am anticipating some movement for those who missed the deposit deadline. I will be sending out notifications by this Friday with any updates regarding waitlist changes. If you move to the top 3 on our waitlist, you will be invited to attend our New Student Orientation for our San Mateo cohort.

 

Unfortunately, we do not offer Conditional Admission to the next cohort, you will have to reapply but you are considered a reapplicant. Please keep an eye out the following weeks with waitlist notifications via email. Let me know if there anything else I can assist with.
