Hi everyone! I'm starting this discussion for those who applied for SMU ABSN program for the Fall 2024 cohort! I was curious if anyone has received updates/email yet. I personally applied to the Sacramento program. Good luck everyone! I  

Anyone else on the Sac waitlist get offered admission for Fresno in the Fall?

I didn't apply to Fresno. Only Sac. Here was the email I just received: 

You are receiving this email because you are currently on our waitlist for our 2024-2025 Fall ABSN Sacramento cohort. I wanted to reach out and let you know we recently have had some openings at our Fresno campus. This is a brand new campus and the 2024 Fall cohort would be the first to start us off!

 The Fresno campus will have the same start dates + New Student Orientation as the Sacramento campus. Also, there will be scholarship opportunities for our FIRST Fresno cohort that you all may be eligible for!

Please let me know if you'd be interested in attending our Fresno campus. You are all great applicants, so that is why we wanted to offer you a spot in a location where we have room. Of course, we will help you get everything situated before starting the program. If you do not accept this spot, you will continue on the Sacramento waitlist and we will send weekly updates up until classes begin. Please get back to us by July 26, 2024, if you'd be interested. I happy to answer any remaining questions you may have as well!

Wow. That sounds like an awesome opportunity. Would you mind sharing what your waitlist number is?  I'm on the Sac waitlist also and didn't receive that email.  Feeling discouraged.

I feel like they might be also offering this to students on the San Mateo waitlist. 

Were there any updates on the waitlist? I was told that we should be getting updates on our position number today.

Hello All,

 

You are receiving this message because you are currently waitlisted for our Fall 2024 Sacramento's ABSN cohort. Please be patient as I am working through the waitlist to get your updated status.

 

Keep in mind, the first couple of weeks it is very slow movement so that's why nothing has been sent. I will be sending out waitlist updates early next week and every week after that up until the first 2 weeks before classes begin. Please let me know if you have any questions as I will be monitoring the waitlist for Sacramento. Thank you all.

I was sent the Fresno offer as well and I've accepted : ) I was #15 on the Sacramento waitlist. Classes start on 9/3/24, right? Also, when is the orientation?
