Hi everyone! I'm starting this discussion for those who applied for SMU ABSN program for the Fall 2024 cohort! I was curious if anyone has received updates/email yet. I personally applied to the Sacramento program. Good luck everyone! I  

Congrats Karina !!  Are you going to be commuting from Sac?

The info session that I went to, the lady said that the start date is Aug 26th for the Sac campus.  Nothing was mentioned about an orientation date at that time.

Thank you!! No, my partner and I will be moving, so we're looking for housing now. I'm from Monterey County, so none of the locations are really can easy commute for me. Oh wow, Aug 26th! I feel like it's very difficult to find the start dates for any of the locations on their website.

Wow, you do live pretty far from all of the campuses.  It's great that you have a supportive partner, especially with how rigorous everyone says nursing school is.  

Yes, I agree with you about the exact start dates.  I wasn't able to find the posting either on the site.

Happy Monday! I got a waitlist update for Sacramento. Looks like it only moved up 2 spots 😕

Yes, a few days ago. I was originally 3rd on the list for Sac now I'm 1st. Holding out for Sac because I'm so far from Fresno. They gave us until the 26th to decide for Fresno.

I would do the same.  Fresno is very far.

Did anyone else NOT receive movement information about the waitlist.  I haven't received anything.

are you waiting on sac or san mateo? sac I know she was going in order. san mateo would be a different person monitoring that waitlist

I'm on the Sacramento waitlist.  I'm an "H."

In number order not alphabetical. But I can tell you for sure it only moved up two spots 😕 Hopefully you get your email today

Hello,

I was originally waitlisted number 27.  I received an email yesterday I am now 22.  I will also be going to the Fresno Campus so that will be 1 more spot. Hope this helps.
