Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.
I didn't want to bother them either, which is why I asked if there was an end date by which we should know our app decision, instead of asking if there were any updates on my app specifically! I'm starting to worry, and I want to apply for the Spring cohort but we are supposed to wait. I'm glad we are in this together (although I don't wish the stress of waiting on anyone haha)
OMG end of the month!? Okay, we just have to be a little more patient. I wish they sent them out the same day, it makes us so nervous when others hear news and we don't.
@ameliacrye, I called (510) 869-1550 to make a counseling appointment. It will take you to the student center and ask to make an appointment for the absn program in san mateo and they will let you know the next available appointment.
