Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.

Yes, I hope to hear something on Monday. I actually looked at previous posts and saw that people were notified about admission, rejections and being waitlisted within 4 days of the person being notified. Is anyone else waiting to hear?

Hey everyone,

How soon after you submitted your application did you hear back about your acceptance to the program? I'm applying to for Spring 2018 at SMU and the deadline is July 1st for applications.

I submitted my application May 1 and I heard back May 25.

The "Admission Process" page says you guys will hear back October-November though.

Still waiting to hear from samuel merritt for the san mateo cohort.... so nervous!! I applied on March 30th

Good to hear that I'm not the only one waiting to hear back. Let's hope we hear some good news tomorrow morning.

For the background check/drug screening, it tells us to include the P behind our student ID number but my ID doesn't have a P. Do I include it anyway?

Same here. I called Oakland and they said that I should contact one of the counselors and they can probably let us know when we'll hear. Have you contacted Derric or any other counselor? I emailed the Kirsten last week, but no response yet.

I contacted Derric, but no reply!

I left him a message just now

I hope you hear something back. Waiting is the hardest part.
