Samuel Merritt University ABSN Fall 2017

Published

Hello all! I am new to Allnurses and I recently decided to change my academic career path from biomedical engineering to nursing. I am (hopefully) going to graduate from San Jose State University in May 2017. I was wondering if anyone has applied/ got accepted to Samuel Merritt's Accelerated BSN program? I was wondering if it's a hard school to get into? I am hoping to apply for Fall 2017. My engineering GPA is not that great but I already took the TEAS and did pretty well on that; I also need to complete Micro, A&P, Nutrition, and a couple other nursing pre-reqs.

Yes I got into San Mateo! I'm waiting to hear back from one more school then I can decide where I want to go

Me too! Congrats, everyone!

I got in San Mateo as well!!

I received am email this morning saying that my admission decision has not been made, and I'll hear soon. It seemed like a generic email. Did anyone else get it?

Also, congrats to all those who got in! Yay:)

Congrats to everybody who got in!! Did anybody hear back from Sacramento? I'm getting so nervous now, I haven't heard anything yet!

For the people who got accepted, what time did you guys receive your email? From the previous posts from the last cohort it seemed like a lot of people got an email at 8am. Just curious to know what time you guys got the acceptance email.

Yes, it was around 8:10. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those who haven't heard back yet.

Thank you Shelgym

Yes got mine around 8:10am

I live in SF, anybody else live around here? Maybe we can start a carpool? any tips on the books? where are you getting your mediquest drug screen? I'm thinking the one on valencia or mission. Also we are you guys thinking of doing cpr? Anybody want to join as a group to do all these post admission requirements? Let me know!

I'm not able to access the background check/drug screening link on that SMU page. It says privacy error. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
