Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

I’ve been checking to see if the status changes on the portal basically every night. I’ll let you guys know if there are any developments.

I just saw that ABSN students posted on their thread about getting accepted, did you have any changes on your portal ?

No. It still says “your application is being reviewed” ?

Social science elective: Complete

Statistics: Complete

Lifespan developmental psychology (content to include birth through death): Complete

Nutrition: Complete

Pharmacology: Complete (It is your responsibility to make sure your class is on the approved list of courses. See the approved Pharmacology courses) 

Pathophysiology: Complete (It is your responsibility to make sure your class is on the approved list of courses.

Letters of recommendation

We require two letters of recommendation.  We have received 2.0 letter(s). If your letter is still pending or missing please work with your reference to complete their recommendation as soon as possible and let us know once NursingCAS receives the reference by replying to this email.

Letter from Dean or Director of Previous Nursing Program

If you are currently or have ever been enrolled in a nursing program, you must provide a letter from the Dean or Director of your previous nursing program indicating that you are academically and personally eligible to continue in their nursing program.

Letter required: No

Bachelor's degree

Bachelor's degree status: Awarded

All prospective and current students wishing to apply for financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students can complete the FAFSA online at www.FAFSA.ED.gov and use the Samuel Merritt University school code of 00701200. If you have already completed your FAFSA you can check the status by going on-line to www.FAFSA.ED.gov or call the U.S. Department of Education at 1.800.4.FEDAID. This information will be the basis for determining your financial aid if an offer of admission is extended.

My prelim review email didn’t look this.. did anyone else get one that was different from this one? Never mind, I just saw that you applied to the BSN program! I did the ABSN!

Hi guys! There’s been so much anxiety over the past couple of days  and even with the election over, I still have anxiety over decisions! The wait is almost over ❤️ Good luck to us all!

Nothing yet, I am in the forum and their is a notice saying decisions for Spring 2021 have started going out.

So now I'm a bit anxious because I am unsure if they are sending the acceptances first ?

Which forum? I just checked my portal and my application still says under review..

Sorry I meant the weekly BSN Chat session that is held every Monday from 12-1
