Samuel Merritt Spring 2021 BSN

Published

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

I just saw on ABSN thread that someone with 3.8 GPA didn’t get it, while someone with 3.3 GPA got accepted....now I’m really freaking out...

I feel with college admissions, especially with nursing, I've noticed they don't really have a set way of admitting people. This being my second time applying in general, the first time around a bunch of people got in that had lower stats and some of them didn't even have volunteer or work experience. Honestly I think luck plays a huge factor in which way they decide to go.

Hey all!

I know these are unfamiliar and uncertain times as we navigate a worldwide pandemic together and adjust to a "new normal."  It's challenging to wait for the 2021 BSN decisions to arrive, but I am thankful for this virtual forum.

I hope we can be gentle with ourselves, and SMU (twice the number of applicants as the pandemic presses forward), while we all figure out what the future holds.

Best of luck, everyone!

In peace,

Darcie

Needed this positivity today! Thanks Darcie!

Hey everyone!!

I know a lot of us are studying for the TEAS/HESI right now and I came across a wonderful studying site! Some of you may know it, but for those who don't "Science With Susanna" is amazing. Fill in notes are provided to follow along in the videos (which really helps visual learners) and there are even quizzes. Here is the link, I hope it helps! Stay positive everyone.  https://www.sciencewithsusanna.com/

I have a feeling they’re going start sending them out next week! (Since they said by November 10th). Excited yet nervous. AHH good luck everyone!!

Nerves are getting to me. Everytime I get a notification from AllNurses I feel like it might be one of you guys commenting that you got in. Good Luck everyone ?

Oh so for HESI results - they come in the next day and are we able to upload it right away to nursing cas?
I’m debating  On when to schedule it if I don’t get in

You get the HESI results the same day.

And would I be able to upload it right away to NURSINGCAS? Or I have to send it in and wait for a few days haha. Thank you!
