Hey! Has anyone got a letter from SM last week?
I wonder if they are gonna change the timeline again...

im feeling very frustrated because other private school I applied to is staying on track with the whole application/admission process...

Hi Phoebe! I have yet to receive anything either.. I am sure everyone is a bit frustrated at this point. I am going to log onto the BSN chat today and ask what we should do if we don’t receive anything by Friday. All we can really do now is just wait to see what happens ?

I got a letter today that stated I'm missing verified units on my application, however NursingCAS has verified all of the prereqs I took... so I'm a little confused

No probs! Yes, it was an email from SMU. It said I needed to provide supporting info in order to move to the preliminary review to the next step of the review process. I forwarded it to Shawna and asked her to clarify and asked why my credits arent showing up.

For some reason I was thinking about the applicants today, who haven't heard from SMU. What if those applicants need additional information to completetheir application? How quick do they have to turn it in to move forward into phase two?

I think that they would have received the same email, because I remember the email that said they would either get the "your application has moved to the next stage" or the email I got. Mine says to email her the info at my earliest convenience.

Oh I see what you mean. I think I wasn't very clear ? what I meant was, that they are still reviewing applications (Phase 1) to move to Phase 2, you would get an email confirming the completion of your applications. For instance if someone like you got an email today that additional info is needed before moving to Phase 2. Here are still a few applicants, who haven't received any emails yet. They may ran into the same problems and have to gather/deal with last minute complications that may delay or lower their chances. Their is not much time left. I hope this was a little more understandable ?

I don't want to sound negative or discouraging, but time seems a big issue here ?

I just wanted to clear something up to avoid confusion- Shawna said that no applications will go to phase 2 until ALL of the applications have been screened. So if you have not yet received an email it is not to your detriment as literally none of the applications (including those that have already been initially reviewed) have gone through. As of today she said they are on track to meet the 10/2 deadline. But if there is a delay it will affect everyone, not just the few that have not yet received an email.
