Hello everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!
I emailed Shawna about TEAS test earlier today, and she said that if you took TEAS test earlier this year, you don’t need to retake it if you apply for fall 2021, just submit the score you already have. I thought it’s helpful as I’m assuming a lot of us took TEAS test already for state schools.
I also have a question about LORs. Should you mind sharing how many you had for Spring 2021 and did they include letters from both your college professors and medical professionals?

Do you know if there are any specific rules regarding the TEAS? How many times you can take it? If there has to be a certain number of days in between each attempt. The website does not really expand on the details of it.
I had letters from my physio professor, college counselor, and volunteer organization.

I had 2, one from my anatomy professor and one from a doctor I worked under.

I just wonder why she said if you took TEAS test earlier this year ,no need to retake. It's clearly mention in their page, HESI and TEAS score do not expire at SMU.

I think we should mentally prepare ourselves for it to be postponed again. They seem to be drowning in applications (which I don't really understand seeing as the public schools get on average 400-500 and they still send out decisions on time). Do you guys think its a staffing issue thats causing them to keep pushing this back?

Just give me a decision before Thanksgiving, please. LOL. I can imagine COVID has had some impacts on staffing. I think preparing ourselves for another push-back makes sense. It seems like Shawna's doing her best to keep us all informed. I'm sure she's feeling our anxiety!
