Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

I’ve been checking all of my folders and there’s nothing. It’s starting to make me wonder if we will actually have to wait until November to find out decisions. If they are this behind it is possible they will extend the deadline for the next cohort in order to finish ours...

I attended the info session this past Thursday and they said it will be until mid October when they start sending out decisions but it might be later because they had double the applications.

Has anyone received an email today? So we know if they're sending them even though it's a weekend.

Someone earlier in this thread said sometime in November. I just hope it doesn't change anything for fall 21" applicants.

StarlaB I hope so too! I just checked NursingCAS,  seeing if I could apply for Fall 2021, just in case I don't get in for Spring 2021. Because deadline is December 1st already! ?

Hi MimiAZ, I do check spam folder too but nothing .. feeling stressful.

May I ask you:

1. Did you finish all your classes when applying for SMU? 

2. When did you submit your application 

3. Does your last name starts with an Z?

The reason I ask is, I submitted my application almost towards the deadline, but I had all my classes. I didn't have to update my classes on nursingcas. I read many had issues doing so, and aren't sure if SMU received the updated transcript. Also, my last name starts with an A and a Z, but because I have two last names many go off with the beginning Z. I hope this didn't sound confusing,  all I'm saying is I'm not sure how they are going to handle all these applications, but their deadline is tomorrow. If you don't hear from them by Monday, I would send Shawna an email. Just don't freak out ? I know it's nerve wracking,  but their email says too "the timeline is subject to change". We might get another email with an updated timeline. Just stay positive  ?

Yes, I finished all my classes and submitted application in mid June. Last Name starts with C. I don’t need to update anything in NursingCas. Thank you for sending positive vibes. I am going to wait few more days. Let’s see.

Did any of you go to nursing success? And will it give us an advantage over other applicants?

I didn't go to nursing success, but I feel like it may give advantage to those who did because it was a question on the application...

It's the 20th you guys, any updates? None here ?

Nope. I'm going to give them an extra two days because I really doubt they've been working on it over the weekend. If I get nothing by Wednesday night I plan on emailing Thursday morning. If anyone decides to email them earlier please let us know what they say.

I haven’t received anything over the weekend. I doubt the work on weekends. Hopefully we’ll get to hear from them this week...
