Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

Nope. I wonder if Shawna could update us on the application process. After the first initial email of the timeline of events, I haven’t received a thing. Kinda feels like we’re left in the dark.

On August 16, I received an e-mail from SMU stating that they've completed a preliminary review of my application. 

Is the timing of this e-mail contingent upon when you submitted your application?

I haven’t received anything yet. Maybe it has something to do with me updating my Summer classes. 
I just emailed shawna , so we’ll see what she says

Please let us know what she says when she responds to you. I have a feeling it has to do with Summer classes, but I’m not positive

I'm really concerned because in the timeline email, it said "Once your application is reviewed, you will receive either an email confirming that we have completed the initial review of your application, or an email with an “application status” requiring that you address certain issues with your application.", but I haven't received anything and it's past the date when "Completed and verified applications will move forward to the Nursing Department for Faculty review." 

I don't have any Summer grades to input, but I do have two prerequisites that I'm taking this Fall semester and I hope this didn't affect things.

Hi everyone,

I did receive my preliminary review email July 6, but did update my classes for Spring 2020 into nursingcas system. After that I attended the student BSN workshop. Other than that I haven't heard anything yet in regards to the application. I did notice that the timeline email said "October 15 is when they start emailing out the decisions."

Does anyone know if you updated your application, will you receive another preliminary email?

Did everyone receive a preliminary email? I did not. I just have a confirmation of my AU from nursing cas and an email from SMU saying my application was received

I didn't get a preliminary review either. When you submitted your academic update, did they email you again saying all your updated transcripts have been received?

Lucky you. Just wondering when did you submitted your  application?

Did everyone else receive the new email they just sent out about the application timeline? Due to the unprecedented amount of applications they received everything is being pushed back. So October 15th is no longer decision day ? sigh. more waitingggg

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I don't know how to comment back on this platform yet. My application was submitted to SM June 12th and got the preliminary review email July 6. 

Here is how the email should look like, I am just wondering since I did my AU if I need to receive another one or if the first one counts?
