Hello everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

thank you!
I'm pretty sure you can submit it electronically! I haven't done my academic update just yet because I'm waiting for my Summer grades, but from what I understood, you would just have to make sure it's addressed to NursingCAS when you request transcripts from your school.

Hey! I went ahead and asked ---------------------- how many applications they received for Spring 2021 and she said 336. 64 will be offered admission and there will be a 20 person waitlist.

WOW!! that's kind of scary how many applications there were. Thanks, momo!
Has anyone received an email confirming the initial review of the application?

Let's keep in mind, that not every applicant's application is 100% complete, therefore some applications many not advance to the next step.

I'm attending the BSN webinar this Saturday, to ask questions about the December application. I'll ask her then and reply to this thread with the information.

Thanks Arianna! When she told me 336 I just assumed that all of those had been verified. But there’s a chance some of them will be taken out, like you said.

Gosh, I hope those aren't all the verified applications! I thought they accepted more than 64 students. I wonder if that's the capacity during the pandemic.

Yeah I thought that too until I logged onto a few info sessions. Apparently they’ve always taken 64 and the pandemic has not influenced it at all. Let’s hope that it’s really not 336 bc that would mean a 19% acceptance rate ahhhhh

I’m still feeling pretty hopeful about everything. I would keep in mind that Samuel Merritt is a back up plan for a lot of students out there because of the tuition cost. I personally know someone who submitted the application, but gonna go to a different school

I read somewhere that they accept 150 students. I don't remember where I found that, but I guess it's not correct information. Geez, 19%!

I didn't even think about that. That's definitely true!

Hi Phoebe!
I emailed ------------------------- about Summer grades and transcripts, she said all transcripts get sent to nursingCAS only, not SMU.
