Hello everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread for the Spring 2021 term at SMU. Has anyone applied or planning on applying? Feel free to drop your stats and scores!

Being online has actually given me more time to study since I don't have to account for commuting to and from campus. It's hard to stay motivated at home, so make sure you have a good set up!
From what I've heard, SMU will not consider lowering tuition.
Good to know! How is it working with clinical placements and labs? I think that’s the most concerning part. The first semester is really important in learning fundamentals, so not having that same level of hands on education is a bit worrisome

Hi Priscilla!
Can you please share with us how your experience has been doing classes remotely? Also do you know if they are considering lowering tuition if it continues to stay online?
Now I’m freaking out!
my overall GPA is 3.8, and science GPA is 3.74...hopefully it’s gonna be enough to be accepted...
Question to everyone
is SM your first choice school?

Hi Janiexx,
If I’m. It admitted to the Spring 2021 BSN program, I’ll be applying to the Fall 2021 ABSN program at SMU.
Good luck!!

My name is Priscilla and I'll be a J2 this semester. I know that COVID has complicated the application process, so I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have!
You can send me direct messages on Instagram @navigate.nursing.life! I'll also be giving away supplies you'll need for future semesters, so don't forget to follow!
I'm rooting for all of you and wish you the best of luck. Hope to hear from you soon. ☺️
Thank you, Priscilla!!
Hi everyone!
Late to this party, LOL but
Overall GPA: 3.7 Science GPA: 4.0
200+ hours of healthcare volunteer experience
Still taking Statistics and Intro to Ethics in the Fall... Wanted to see what you guys think about my chances with those two classes still going to be in progress. Is anyone taking Stats in the fall?
Good luck to you all!

Hey! you have very competitive stats in my opinion:)
I’m taking interpersonal communication and history in the fall as well. I’ve talked to ------------------ previously and she told me that it’s common practice to take couple classes in the fall. As long as you have good grades in your other classes and you’ve taken all your science classes already, you are gonna be fine ?
they use a holistic approach to each applicant, which means that they take other things in consideration, like good LORs, patient care experience or your personal statements.
