Samuel Merritt Spring 2017 ABSN

Hello! I just wanted to make a thread specifically for those who are applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN for a spring 2017 start. I'm applying to start in April 2017. It's the only program I'm applying to, as I can't afford more than a year without an income and I really want a BSN and not an MSN at this time. I'm done with my application, just waiting for nursing CAS to verify all my transcripts before I click submit! Currently working full time and taking my last 3 pre recs online. What about you?

I think they said Sept 11 because that is start date of Sacramento. I feel like the waitlisted students will have good chance of getting in since I was 30th out of 41. So I was able to switch to the June Cohort. I think as long as you get accepted you can defer your enrollment if something comes up.

Well I was 2nd on the waitlist and havent heard back from anybody. Perhaps its because I only chose Oakland

Hi,

Does anyone know if you are supposed to send NursingCAS official transcripts before or after you submit your application online? And can I send official/sealed ones myself or do they have to come directly from each school?

I'm applying for Fall 2017

Send the transcripts now, before you submit the application. It takes a while for them to get there/verified. You can send grades later for in progress/planned classes. You need to request them from the school, and THEY send them not you. Good luck!

I have not started on loan applications, but have submitted my FAFSA. I want to wait until I get my official award notification from the financial aid office, so I can figure out the exact amount needed. But I am in the June cohort so I have a bit more time. Did they already send official financial aid notices the April cohort? I got the preliminary one with the acceptance letter, but that's it so far.

Like Duke, I haven't gotten anything but the preliminary acceptance letter so I haven't start any loan application yet. How do we go about doing that?
