Samuel Merritt MSN-FNP Spring 2024

I couldn't find an existing thread on Samuel Merritt's MSN FNP program so here I am!

Anyone applied for Spring 2024? 
I submitted my application last week and the suspense is killing me!

Hi guys! I also applied and have not heard back yet! I also applied to the ELMSN-CM program for sac and had my interview this past Monday. I wonder why FNP is talking longer? Maybe because they have more applicants?

Hi @Future_cali_nurse! Congrats on your interview! I applied to both ELMSN-CM & FNP as well! I was invited for an interview for ELMSN-CM & still have not yet heard back from FNP ?. My interview for CM is next week, which I'm super nervous for! How did your interview go? Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you! ?

Hi! I got my interview email for the ELMSN FNP program. How was the interview? It appears they are different formats for CM vs FNP.

Hi! I would say just be yourself, try to round back why you want to be a nurse or examples of how "xyz…” led you to want to be a nurse/help patients and their families". They also review transcripts so if there are any less than ideal grades be sure to be ready and explain why you got those grades. Good luck!

I have my FNP interview next week through zoom. Does anyone have any advice on how that will work? Would we take turns answering all the questions or would we work together for simulation based questions?

Hi! I also have my interview next week! Which date/time are you doing it?

I spoke to some current FNP students at SMU and they said we will have a task to complete together (? I am not sure what or how we do this via zoom) and it's less about ourselves and our background (???) I am so nervous but I am preparing per the guidelines on their website.

And SAMEEEE I'm so nervous... at least we have the guidelines, but I'm not sure what sort of tasks we'd be completing. Maybe it's just to gauge how well we work together as a team or take on leadership roles?? So nerve-wracking!

Mine is on Wed at 2:30! I am dying to know what the heck we have to complete together. The girl I spoke to just said to be prepared to work on a task together.

Right! I feel so unprepared. And it's a really short interview too, so IDK how they'll be able to talk to everyone. I'll let you know how my interview goes on Tuesday so you'll have a heads up?
