I was just accepted into the SMU Nursing Success! Seminar! Does anyone else have plans of attending?

I just send in my application last week! I am from San Jose, Ca and received my bachelors from University of Hawaii Manoa. I also attended the SMU success seminar and it was extremely helpful and inspiring.

I have been a nursing assistant for almost eight years and recently just transitioned to Endoscopy Tech.

Good luck to everyone ❤️

I'm applying for Spring 2025 in Sacramento for ELMSN. I've been a PCT for over a year now at a LTACH and have my phlebotomist certification. I've also been a regular hospice volunteer which has been a very fulfilling experience to be honest. I lost my grandma very young and she died alone in the hospital so it fills my heart to be there with a patient surrounded by their loved ones. It also solidified that advocating and caring for others is truly what I want to do.  I also recently attended the Nursing Success Seminar as well, in Sacramento! Im hoping that will help me stand out in this application process. Good luck everyone! Anyone down to share stats?

BA Biology, Minor in Philosophy

Good morning,

Has anyone heard anything from them? Based on the previous terms and forums, it seems like they interview and extend offers faster than other programs.

Good luck to everyone as well!

Hi everyone,

I was searching for the most current ELMSN-FNP forum for Samuel Merritt and I just wanted to ask how the interview process was. Was it on Zoom or a phone call? Was it a long interview? How did you prepare for your interview? I just want a general idea beforehand!
I was also wondering if anyone was able to attend the Nursing Seminar Success Seminar? If so, how was that? Is it an in-person seminar and how long was it? Did you find it beneficial to decide you wanted to attend Samuel Merritt?

Hi everyone! I've applied to both the FNP / CM track for Fall 2024 but I'm getting a both nervous diving into past cycles. Have you guys seen the posts from students warning prospective students about the program? My brother graduated from the BSN program in 2019 and complained here and there but I thought it might've been for his class alone. How are you guys feeling about it?

Hi,

I've also seen a couple of posts saying those things which did worry me. I reached out to some students I know and they did say the program had its struggles, but it's not THAT bad...

I'm hoping it's on the upward trend, as I have heard that lots of hospitals and clinics within the Bay Area hire from SMU.

Have you gotten an email from admissions so far?

Hi everyone, has anyone heard from admissions or know of anyone who has gotten an interview invite?

I have not heard anything. I know the application just closed earlier this month, I am just antsy since I turned mine in since December.

@sunflower25 OK that's reassuring!! Everyone I know graduated what feels like a lifetime ago so their experience is already so different compared to now. Thanks for sharing that - I mean, they're still an accredited school! I just have that living in my head now alongside the costs -_-

And nothing lately from admissions. Last email I received was about my them completing the preliminary review of my app. IDK, I've heard it takes 2-3 months after you've submitted to hear back but after lurking around here it seems that it can take longer ˙◠˙

Hey everyone! Did you guys apply to the CM program too? I received an email to interview. Wondering if anyone else received one? Does it mean our apps were technically accepted?
