Samuel Merritt ELMSN, FNP program, Fall 2016 Oakland

I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2016 ELMSN, FNP program. I recently applied to Samuel Merritt's ELMSN, FNP program in Oakland, CA. Has any one else applied? Any graduates have any feedback? I'm really excited about Samuel Merritt's Family Nurse Practitioner program. I'd really like to pursue primary and mental health. With that, I think a focus on FNP first would help.

Well I wish you good luck in getting acceptance for the other ELMSN programs your applied to. It's nice to have a back up with the ABSN though. I agree the ABSN is also a great option. I'd love to start working as soon as possible so who knows, maybe I'll do the ABSN route if I get accepted. The waiting game seems endless haha.

@KO_1219 - I just made my tuition deposit for the ABSN, too. At least my choice was made for me! It sounds like you might have a tough decision on your hands. When do you hear back from the other ELMSN programs you applied for?

Here's to (possibly) being in the same ABSN cohort!

Just kidding....I was offered a spot after all. Good thing I randomly emailed Teri about something else...I'll let all you know once I receive the official email how long we have to give the deposit.

@KO_1219 I'm not sure if you're still looking for an answer, but admitted students have 10 days to submit the $350 deposit.

I have actually heard from one so far. I got into University of San Diego's MSN-CNL program, but I'm still waiting on UC Davis, USF, and Rush University. I should be finding out from them sometime in March!

Congrats @KO_1219! USF sent rejection letters on Tuesday so I think it's a really positive sign that you haven't heard from them yet. I've read from past threads that they do acceptance calls rather than emails.

Not sure what happened, but I was told they looked into it and the error was resolved. So yes, nice surprise midday. :)

Thanks vinh222! Oh really?? I'm surprised no one mentioned that on the USF MSN-CNL thread. Maybe no one active on the thread received a rejection letter yet? lol but okay cool, thanks for the info =)
