Hi, everyone! Just wanted to start a forum for those applying to SMU's ELMSN Fall 2019 program. I know the admission deadline was about a month ago and I wanted to know if anyone has heard back yet! I applied for the FNP track ?

Does anyone know if they notify about any initial denials for interviews or do they not say anything at all until everyone has gotten acceptances?

Aloha people!!! My interview is this week for the FNP track and I would love to hear from anyone who knows more about the “Group Interview” setting. They are nerve racking bc you have to be in front of a group of people who are of course amazing and say “bla bla bla well I’M amazing because...” ? Man I *REALLY* wish it wasn’t a group interview. Any thoughts there? Anyone been through this rodeo before? Thank you!!!! ?

I don't have experience, however there is a 2018 thread of the fall 2018 class from last year that did their interviews and some provided great feedback.

It's really not bad at all! I got so into what I was writing that I easily reached 4.5 pages with no issues and it didn't take me very long either

Hello,

I just had my interview this morning..and pretty much sweated through my blazer, good luck to everyone else.. I think by the time I was done 6 people had been interviewed. I was interviewed by the Program Director. It went well until she goes over your grades..anything below a B- I felt like crawling into a hole even grades from 12 years ago.... i posted my stats earlier in the thread, pasted below:

HESI-- 90%

Pre req 3.5

Last 60-- 3.8

I have a BS in psych and Masters in Healthcare Admin.

worked at SF hospitals for 7 years now

Thank you!! I hope you hear something soon. I know my email went to my SMU email and not my personal one..and it never even fwded to my personal one. I think theyre doing interviews today and on the 25th..for the CM program.

I also interview Thurs at 5:30. Hope to meet y'all! Does anyone know who the ELMSN FNP program chair is? And they didn't say anything about a written portion......

I believe the FNP chair is Dr. Rhonda Ramirez... I cant speak to the FNP writing portion.. just for the CM interview.
