Samuel Merritt BSN Spring 2022

Hi everyone! 

I haven't seen anyone post about SMU's BSN program for Spring 2022 in Oakland. Is anyone applying? This is my first time applying and July 1st is coming up quick!

Hey! This is just speculation but the forum for Samuel Merritt Spring 2021 BSN page #16, someone mentions the Oct. 15th date as well for their timeline to receive decisions....and maybe they are on time this year but they didn't start seeing decisions come out until Oct. 31. ?

wait...just kidding they didn't hear back until Nov....I hope this year it isn't delayed.

That's what I saw too but I've reading through the threads for Spring and Fall 2021 so see when they were notified and they had the dates pushed back or were emailed a few days after. Just trying to be prepared because I'm going to be refreshing my email about 416564 times that day!

Did you try the admitted student portal website? I'm sure it says that your application is under review but have you tried accessing it? 

Also, did you also get the preliminary email stating that your app. has been verified?

hey! When you say nothing shows up like nothing? Do you see the links and different tabs when you're logged in?

Hopefully the decisions will come out on the 15th?. I'll also be checking my email every second on that day hahaha

I think the cohorts are like 40 or 50 students? Not 100% sure. I am curious as to how many people applied this cycle. I suppose I'm ready to apply for Fall 2022 just in case.

They accept 64 per cohort and somewhere around 10 people form the waitlist

One or two sleeps left until we find out! I know three people who were accepted into the Spring 2021 cohort who checked the day before, and their status in the admitted student portal had changed from “under review” to “admitted.” One person I know who was admitted did not have the status change in the portal until they received the email. 
 

Last cohort has a TON of students who did prerequisites at Merritt Community College and other Peralta campuses.  
 

I’m going to be refreshing that and my email all day long tomorrow LOL!

How do I check the portal to see if it’s under review? Very nervous ??????

You have to make an account on the admitted students portal. It says not to unless you are admitted but most people do it anyway. You have to use the same email as you did for nursingcas. I haven't done it yet but I probably will tomorrow because of the anxiety but some people find out on there before they get the email.
