Hi everyone! 

I haven't seen anyone post about SMU's BSN program for Spring 2022 in Oakland. Is anyone applying? This is my first time applying and July 1st is coming up quick! 

Specializes in Oncology medical assistant.

I'm taking us history and communications right now, but I will done in December! I got an email with an update saying emails will be sent out Oct 15. I'm currently still working full time at an oncology office.

Yes! I have one open after decisions come out. I was contacted by admissions saying that one of my classes didn’t work as a prerequisite. I let them know I could sign up for a late-start class this fall, and they said okay! My app is verified and I’m still in the running. So excited for October 15th to get here. The waiting game is tough!

Has anyone here applied to SMU before and looked at the "admitted students portal"? It apparently gives you a sneak peek at the status of your application.

You can, I guess, see if you've been admitted before they send you the official email, and also see if you've been placed on the wait list. I've heard that if you see "your application is under review" on the day they're going to make decisions, you're probably not in. 

Does anyone know how soon this info is updated before the decisions are out? Is it weeks, days, hours?

Hope everyone is doing great finishing up their prereq's and dealing with waiting for decisions!

Hey I just tried to look at this and requested an account and it says for admitted students only. Do you have an account already?

Im a reapplicant but whenever I try to open the portal nothing shows up.

this happened to me last time I applied too. I wasn't able to see anything on the portal

I actually made an account and was able to see the status of my application under the checklist tab but all over the page it says “ Admitted Student Portal is for admitted students only. Please do not access the portal unless you are invited to do so” so I don’t think I was supposed to do that ?

It says your application is being reviewed so hopefully that’s not bad

Mine also says under review! I can't believe it's October already. But the waiting is tough!

The wait is killing me! I'm so nervous. Does anyone know if all the decisions go out on the 15th or do more come after that day?

Hi! 

Last year they found out on Oct 31….so IDK if Oct 15th will be the definite date or if it’s later like last year.

It says decisions emailed to applicants on the 15th so I would assume they wouldn’t do it any later than that considering those accepted only have 7 days to accept
