Hi everyone!
I haven't seen anyone post about SMU's BSN program for Spring 2022 in Oakland. Is anyone applying? This is my first time applying and July 1st is coming up quick!
Yes I had started an app but then never completed and got an email saying they extended the ABSN, BSN, and some masters programs. So I ended up getting my info in yesterday before it closed. I’m really hoping it means they didn’t receive as many applicants and we all have a chance ! I know their last posted stats from 2019 showed about 50% of the people that applied got in.

Hi! I am applied for Spring of 2022 as a transfer from the BSNRn program on July 1! I’m taking a few classes this Summer and I have will two pending in the fall. but I got A’s in all my sciences. I didn’t get the highest scores on the HESI so I’m nervous but I do have work experience and I’m currently working on a Onocology office but I’m still nervous!!
Best of luck!!
@lorafeaara Hello! Yes, I got the email from SMU that my application was received. I got the email once my application was “Verfied” on NursingCas. So I would just double check on the application status bar to make sure it was verified.

I am very stressed. Did anybody receive an email from SMU that their application was received because the last time I applied I got that email right away. I got a confirmation from nursing cas but not SMU. Is anyone else in the same boat?
Please let me know!
I did receive an email from SMU 8 days after I submitted my application.
For those who had to complete their science prerequisites, did you opt 100% online classes or hybrid mode? Since SMU says they are accepting 100% online labs due to Covid-19, I am wondering what everyone is doing, specifically about science prereqs? I still have a long way to go. I have to complete a lot of prerequisites including all 4 Science prerequisites. Hope to apply in 2022. Would love to hear back from you.
I’m also planning on applying next year and I took all of my science classes online since that was the only option at the time (except for Anatomy which I took in person a while back). I made sure to get approval from the SMU counselors beforehand and she told me to save the emails with their approval just in case I ever need it. ??

Thanks for sharing! I think that’s a good idea to save their approval emails. Did you get their approval for each online course? May I please know where did you take the science classes?

I also applied as a transfer! I also didn't know that they extended the deadline. Did they sent emails that the deadline was extended?
