Hi Everyone! I know this is a bit early but I will be applying to SMU for the ABSN program of Summer 2014 (Oakland Campus). I am currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in health science at CSUEB right now and I will be done in the fall. I just wanted to start a discussion on this topic and get to know some people who are applying to the program for summer 2014. Let's get to know each other, share our stats, etc.
Here are my estimated stats that they look at:
Last 60 units GPA: 3.5
Pre req GPA: 3.4
Teas: 83 but I am re taking it in a couple of weeks
Experience: I am a CNA and Med tech currently. I volunteer at John Muir hospital and at American Red Cross.
I hope to hear from some prospective applicants soon!
WhitneyABSN- It was an automated message after I sent the admission counselor a message. I still haven't heard that my file was transferred to the nursing department, or, that my file was updated after sending my fall transcripts
I got my acceptance e-mail today! I'm in!!! I cannot believe it. For those of you who are in, would you like to meet up near the San Mateo Campus prior to our start date? I have a friend who is going through this program right now and she can give us a lot of great advice or at least the instructors for whom we need to work hard for to please.

sounds like so far those who have gotten in applied for san mateo april start date. i put that as my second choice, as oakland may is my first. Last I heard, decisions would be emailed out late feb... im crossing my fingers its sooner now that people are starting to hear back!!! i just want to know! :) has anyone from oakland may heard anything?
Congratulations to everyone thus far, so very exciting!!! I hope this means early acceptance letters are coming for us from the other cohorts. Anyone from the June Start date (san mateo) get an email that our applications have moved to the nursing department?
