Hi guys, I got a phone call on Friday too for the Oakland campus!!!!! Sooooo excited and brendalwelch it was exactly what they told you. Have guys gotten a confirmation email today? I keep checking for it, but nothing yet. I too am married and a mom to a 3-year-old (actually he'll be 4 on April 1st). It's definitely going to be tough, but I'm sure we'll get through it. We'll support one another! Let me know once you guys receive the email! Looking forward to meeting you all =)

I also worry about the debt we will be in, especially with the scarcity of jobs out there for fresh grads! Do you guys know of SMU grads that have found jobs within 6 months of graduating?

I haven't heard anything yet. I too am kind of freaking out at the amount of debt and serious lack of jobs for new grads. I have a friend that graduated a year ago and quite a few of them are still looking for jobs.

Hi "adus" and others... I just got my email from Che Abrahm with the Oakland Letter of Intent and $350 tuition deposit request. No other details yet. Debt... yes, we will all be in debt after this year of school :) but I firmly believe that we can find a job even in this tough market. It's all about connections. I live in Walnut Creek and am working on continuing to build relationships with every nurse/doctor/hospital I know and will try to continue volunteering at Kaiser Walnut Creek ED. I have a friend who graduated Oakland's ABSN program in 2009 and she found a job at John Muir within 5 months. Trying to think positive!!

Hi everyone,

I just got an email saying that I was accepted into SF's summer program! (c: I'm 95% sure I will accept this offer and am very excited...I'm just waiting to hear back from an ADN program on Wednesday. I think the BSN will be a better choice and will give me an advantage in getting a job when I graduate...I think I'm just apprehensive about how much more tuition is, and the fact that I'll need to move back from WA soon. But I'm very excited! Good luck to you all and I can't wait to meet our cohort!
