Hello!
I'm new to this site, but have been following the allnurses posts regarding Samuel Merritt program applications religiously for a while now. I recently applied to the ABSN and ELMSN - FNP program for the July 1 deadline. Thought it would be great to have a place to provide insight, stay updated and share experiences with all of you through this terrifying journey. I mean we ONLYYY have to wait until October - November to hear anything. Let the wait begin.....
Looking forward to hearing from you all :)
Hi friends! The woman on Instagram got back to me and said she was only admitted due to her waitlist number from the Fall cohort, and is probably the only 1 person that knows. So far our investigation skills are paying off! Sorry for the scare!
Thanks for filling us in on the info. Glad to hear they aren't giving ten seats away! I would hope that they would give a seat to the number one waitlisted student. That's just SO close. Fingers crossed those acceptance letters start to roll in soon!
And hey, apparently, some of us could apply ourselves to the Private Detective field should this whole nursing thing not work out! *wink*
Thanks for the info! It's good to know that the top waitlisted person gets a seat for next semester. And that person was number one on the waitlist at the end of all the shifting that had happened from what I remember. I think she was like 10 or 11 on the waitlist originally so there's hope for anyone who ends up waitlisted.
Hi all! So I had my ELMSN interview yesterday and they said that it could take up to a month to find our the results in the ELMSN program! So I have a feeling we have a long wait to find out about this program...
I think they're just saying that, to avoid people calling. People started to find out the Friday after interviews ended last time. And if they said ABSN would be announced beginning to mid Oct, you'd have to find out sooner.
I only moved up 3 spots for Fall admission :/ I went from 13 to 10, then nothing! So there wasn't that much movement last semester on the wait list.
I think it depends on which campus you applied to. I think the San Mateo campus is more competitive to get into and their waitlist moves less.

I had also read on a previous thread that the top wait list spot for Fall 2018 was already offered a spot in the Spring 2019 cohort. Yay for them but boo for one less available seat. I suppose I would be super excited if I were that person. Gives me hope for those of us who may get waitlisted. Just a little bit longer! Hang in there everyone!!
