Samuel Merritt ABSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!

@RiverDancer that would be great ! Can I have your email ? Maybe I can correspond with you via email ?

Sure. I sent you a message with my email.

CONGRATS to all those accepted and waitlisted! It is such an accomplishment.

I will be applying for the Spring 2020 cycle. I took the HESI yesterday through Examity and I was wondering if anybody could explain the scoring process? How soon should I see the results through Evolve; or will I receive an e-mail? Thanks in advance!

They printed out my results immediately after I took the HEsi.

Thank you for your response. I took mine with the at home proctor through Examity and still haven't received my results...not sure when I should start worrying.

Don't start worrying. I took it through them twice as well. The second time my results did not post right away because I skipped the personality section. I freaked out and spent 2 hours on he phone with both companies. I learned the school is responsible for closing out the test. So as soon as they do that your results will post. Because it's summer I would give it a few days.

Thank you!! That makes me feel a bit relieved.

Just sending out a friendly reminder for those admitted into the Sacramento Fall 2019 cohort:

Good luck and take care!

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but other than grades, what else can be changed on our application once it is submitted? I am worried that one of my LOR will not be submitted on time. Thanks and congrats to those who got in!

I am not absolutely sure, so you may want to contact NursingCAS, but if it is one of the two required LORs, you will get a notice that it cannot be submitted because your application is incomplete. Then, once the required parts are completed you can submit. (That was my experience with thinking I had a transcript sent to them that I had not! It all worked out in the end.)

Hi! After your application is submitted, you can still choose new people to request letter of references from! My professor sent in my letter 1 1/2 months after applications were due.

In my experience you have to have already requested the letter from your submitter before the application is due. You can not go back and change the contact info or anything of your submitter after the deadline.

So as long as you requested a letter from your submitter and send that out before the application, you should be fine! They understand that that is usually out of your control. Mine has submitted up to 2 weeks - a month after the due date!

Hi everyone, I was recently accepted for the Sacramento cohort. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what a schedule may look like? What days of the week and how long the days are? Just trying to get an overall idea how the program will go! Thanks in advance!
