Samuel Merritt ABSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who applied for the ABSN Fall 2019 cohort. I applied for the Sacramento location but would love to connect with all who applied in general! Good luck everyone!

Thank you. What number are you in the waiting list if you don’t mind me asking? I’m at 6.0

I know #7 is somewhere on here too lol. A couple pages back.

Haha. Hopefully we all get in. Looking at previous cohorts we should all get in easily but let’s see.

I have my fingers crossed!

6 is very comfortable because in the last few cohorts it seems they have the top 2 or 3 go to orientation anyways and get them a spot next semester if nothing opens up.

I hope so but it’s really frustrating as there is no automatic updates. Hopefully we all get some good news today

Hey theflipside and Aman888888! I am #7 for Sacramento. I've been trying to stay busy and not even think about it, but today is the day I thought maybeeee we'd hear back. I'm definitely not going to hold my breath though. haha. I log on to the portal everyday to see if it changes. Fingers crossed for everybody!

So Derric recommends emailing them every 2-3 weeks regarding updates. Guess one of us can email every week.. hahahahh

@theflipside any reply to your email yet? Thanks!

For those on the wait list, who anticipate getting in, I would recommend making sure that you're up to date on your major vaccinations (including Varicella, or do a blood titer to determine immunity), 2-step TB tests (or blood test), and CPR certification (BLS from the AHA). Might help move things along so you do'nt feel so rushed! See attached ?

Nothing yet, Ive been anxiously checking. The latest he has ever replied to me was 4:15pm but I imagine he is the standard 9-5. Maybe 8-5 with an hour lunch. I did not get an out of office reply though, so thats a good sign atleast.

I will let you know ASAP ?

Thanks! Thankfully I had to do all of this to volunteer at the hospital.
