As I was going through looking for threads of the programs I plan to apply for I didn't see one for SHSU Spring 2019 so I decided maybe I would go ahead and start one!
I am currently finishing my associates of science and associates of humanities from Palo Alto College in San Antonio where I currently live, then will hopefully have everything in line for SHSU application when it opens up.
I do still have to take my TEAS exam which I have scheduled for June 27, I am so nervous about cutting a great score to help with my chance of admission, especially since I won't have the extra point for being a SHSU student.
I'm excited to hear from others who will be the applicant pool as well and hopefully we'll be starting our nursing journey together, good luck to everybody!!!
We're applying with basically the same GPA's, you did better than me on the TEAS. Do you have SHSU credits or CNA license, etc?Pre-nursing GPA: 3.86
Overall GPA: 3.89
TEAS Math: 93.8%
TEAS Reading: 89.4%
TEAS Overall: 86.7%
Hopefully we both have what it takes for acceptance!! lol
I unfortunately do not have any SHSU credits (just moved here from San Antonio) or a CNA, EMT license or anything else that would contribute extra points :/ I've heard it can be difficult to get in without the extras but we'll see! I put my name in two other hats as well so as long as at least one pans out, I'll be thrilled!

On the thread for one of the other programs I also applied for we started a sort of running list of GPA & test scores to get a better idea of where we stand and so future students in our shoes know the scores of who gets accepted/denied. I'll start by putting my info out there (although I wish it were better!), if you'd like just copy & paste the info below then add your info in along with it in a new comment.
