As I was going through looking for threads of the programs I plan to apply for I didn't see one for SHSU Spring 2019 so I decided maybe I would go ahead and start one!
I am currently finishing my associates of science and associates of humanities from Palo Alto College in San Antonio where I currently live, then will hopefully have everything in line for SHSU application when it opens up.
I do still have to take my TEAS exam which I have scheduled for June 27, I am so nervous about cutting a great score to help with my chance of admission, especially since I won't have the extra point for being a SHSU student.
I'm excited to hear from others who will be the applicant pool as well and hopefully we'll be starting our nursing journey together, good luck to everybody!!!
Okay, I sent 2 separate emails as well.My TEAS was ok, definitely could've been better. 86.7% overall with 89.4%-R and 93.8%-M. Really hoping my GPA helps balance the mediocre score.
Those are good scores, be proud of them!
I hate how I'm already so anxious and we have weeks before possibly knowing of acceptance or not. Your friend who applied last year, did she get accepted? If so, how is she liking the program thus far?
Yes I'm so anxious too, I've submitted everything so now just playing the waiting game. She didn't get in. I keep comparing my scores to scores that I've seen on previous threads hoping mine are enough.
I'm in the same boat, I was obsessing going back through previous threads looking at scores of who got accepted and comparing them to mine and was like I just need to stop, haha.I'm just so ready to get this journey started.
As the last day for applications winds down, I just want to wish everybody here the absolute best of luck in the selection process!
It's going to be a nerve-recking roller coaster these next few months as we anxiously await decisions. I hope to see this thread filled with exciting posts of acceptances & hope we all get to start our nursing journey together.
