In Milwaukee, it's around $22 plus differentials for PM/Overnight & weekends.
In Concord, CA the starting pay for a new grad at the hospital here is $43 something per hour. And the hospital in Walnut Creek is $42 something. The hospital in Fremont, CA starts their new grads at $44 something per hour. These places are about 30-40 minutes away from Oakland and San Francisco.
It's kind of scary to see how much inexperienced nurses are making around here. I mean a friend of mine has only been a nurse for 1 year and a half and she makes $50/hr and she gets $10 more working nights.

Thank you for the information. Would you state the name of the hospital and if possible the address? Thank you! Cause I am a new nurse and I would like to move to california and these informations and more would help me.

Here in California I make $45.97/hr starting as a new grad.
OH my god! I think I'm going to be sick:eek:
I know right! but like everyone said the cost of living is high here. For a one bedroom apartment rent averages at about 1200/month.
