  1. cacurlytop--I just finished the CNL program. Message me if you would like any info.
  2. Can anyone provide me with feedback about working within the Advocate system? I'm looking at Good Shepherd and wanted to know the real scoop.
  3. Hello Everyone, Just looking for some insight on the IL job market. Moved down from WI after completing my generalized master's and am looking to get back into ICU (have a little over 1 year experience). I'm finding it hard to find these positions--actually any RN positions. I have gone on several interviews--but could not close the deal due to my lack of experience. Are the systems on hiring freezes? Also, I was told that it was good I had at least the little experience I do, because they are not hiring new grads in this area at all. Any input from those who know this area would be great! Thanks
  4. I'm going to be moving to the north shore suburbs in a few months and I was wondering if there were any hiring freezes at hospitals in the area. I'm surprised at the lack of positions on the "jobs" pages for staff RNs. Any input?
  5. The cats have fur and skin--we had to skin them. It isn't nearly as gross as it sounds. Once your there, your curiousity will probably get the better of you.
  6. May I ask what school you go to?
  7. Was it as horrible as everyone is posting?
  8. what is the secret of passing the first time--how did you study--how long--did you take a specific prep course?
  9. Don't do the drug cards unless you really have to. We had around 40-50 for Childbearing--and I did them all--then never used them. Huge waste of time!
  10. I've gotten anywhere from no break to 1 hour--it just depends on the instructor.
  11. I bring everything I have--LOR, unofficial transcripts, and evals. I'd rather give them too much than not enough.
  12. I'm in a program like that at Marquette. If I had to do it again, I'd do an accelerated BSN.
  13. Do any of you have feelings about which prep course is better?
  14. In Milwaukee, it's around $22 plus differentials for PM/Overnight & weekends.
  15. I'm going to try to take in september...how many weeks are you all planning to study?
