  1. Took it this morning and it shut at 75! OMG talk about scary feeling.. my last question was not the easiest (bites nails)..took a deep breath and expected to go to the next question (76)..but i didn't happen. I feel okay..just anxious..this is really a crazy and memorable experience.. Can't wait to see the results
  2. Congrats! Just took my NCLEX this morning..anxious for the results.. according to the "pearsonvue trick" I may have passed
  3. Congrats to all!! I graduated from an ASN program in NY Pinning is in January!!! Yay!! I am ready to take on NCLEX also ready for a job!! I remember joining this site as a pre-nursing student. I can't believe how fast time flew by!!! wow!
  4. In my school we don't learn how to start IV's but we learn how to hang bags and prime the line. They say that when you start working, during orientation the hospital may teach you to start the IV
  5. ^^I agree with the above post. You need to speak to someone of higher position. I would even send Prof. McGuinn an email from now. I can't say whether or not they'll let you back in. But I really think you should send an email to McGuinn.
  6. C'mon now! You must be ***ting me!!!
  7. I'm just a student, but I would see if I can get a order for a sedative because this is serious. This must be against infection control. Think of all the things that are brewing on his skin and groves! Yuck! I say speak to charge, administration, DR and see if a sedative can be given to knock him out and scrub, scrub, scrub!!!
  8. LOL.. don't feel bad, I do the same thing! :yeah:I'm ready to go back!!! I check blackboard but my new classes aren't up yet, it's still the old one. It's driving me nuts!!!
  9. If there was only a Nursing Workout DVD that helped you know your Beta Blockers, Ace Inhibitors and Calcium Channel Blockers while doing your leg presses!!! I'm on my way to 3rd semester and I've gained about 15 pounds. Once I'm on like a break (spring break) I start working out again. I notice my face gets slimmer then I go back to school and fat face comes back! Things you can do is take the stairs instead of the elevator. Prepare a healthy snack to nibble on. And when you have a break, do a calorie blastor workout..
  10. ROFLMAO!! Oh my that was just wrong!!!! LOL!! Ahh.. poor kid... smh. I wouldn't ever be able to show my face again.
  11. I'm going into 3rd semester: 1) Caring for clients with complex alteration in functional and survival needs (MED-Surg III) 2) Psychiatric Nursing And of course 2 clinical rotations every week, one in Medsurg, the other in Psych.
  12. That sounds like an awesome experience. And that director seems awesome too!
  13. Study in the library more often Do more study groups with my girls (it really helped, started in mid-semester and we got a lot done) Not procrastinate with my case studies
  14. Oh yess I'm experiencing burnout. My last 2 days are MOnday and Tuesday in which I have my Med-surg and Pediatrics final. I should be studying now, but I can't go any further. I gave my all and I'm sooo burned out. My friends are calling me going over material and I'm like so over it right now. I'm a nursing fanatic, but nursing school can drain the life out of you. I need a long vacation :tbsk:
