Anyone accepted for the Fall 2008 semester? I just got my acceptance letter!!! Yay!!! :) :yeah:

I live in Sunnyside! how can I get there( I don't drive:sniff:)

You can take the 7 train to main st and take the Q17 (and I'm pretty sure I saw a few other buses but the 17 is the one I remember vividly passing by) which will drop you off right by the school.

Hi,

I took A&p 1 & 2 and they were both extremly hard. I took them before hand so know i've applied to St. Vincents & have an interview with them in two weeks. So all i need to take is micro & the nursing part. A & p is one of those classes that has tons of work to learn and memorize and not enough time. Anyway you just have to dedicate your self to them and you should be fine. Hope that helps

Good Luck

Hi

Well for me the hardest was A&P 1 & 2, and i have'nt taken micro yet but i've heard it's even harder. The easiest for me was Sociology, Eng 1&2. Pretty much all are easier than the sciences. Hope that helps.

Good Luck

Hi,

So you were already told that you were accepted for the Jan 2009 semester? Did you already do the interview? How was it and what kinds of ? do they ask? I have an interview next week and i'm really nervous. I've also applied for the Jan 2009 semester. How long after your interview did they tell you that you were accepted?

Any info is greatly appreciated

Thank you:stdnrsrck:

guys

Before anything else, I would like to thank you all for replying and giving me "directions":-)

you guys are great!

I am so nervous about all this application proccess! it drives me crazy and sems more complicated than the NLN  BTW/ what kind of pre-entrance exam I should prepare for SVC and what else is required?

I have a bunch of prereqs completed at BMCC and I assume they will be transferable.

another question is in case I will apply for the Fall of next year, when should I submit my records and stuff.

thanks again and good luck to everyone!:loveya:

To prepare for the pre entrance exam in march 08, they recommended Mary Mcdonald, RN pre-entrance exam 2nd edition. They only tested math and english...not science.

the test is blahhhhh.. if you can read and write at a high school level you are fine..the math was basic with a little algebra toward the end, solve for X stuff ...not hard at all youll do fine

hey, i just stumbled upon this site and found this thread to be very useful especially Stiltarget's posts! I could barely find any information on SVCMC's queens nursing program anywhere other than the svcmc web site and was afraid the program was not legit. But after reading this thread i'm more confident about entering the evening program in January 2009.

I wanted to ask if any of you had any advice about job opportunities I could look into since I don't start all the way til January 2009 evening program. I am a recent college graduate w/ a B.S. in Health Science (Public Health) and am eager to earn some steady cash flow... :loveya:$$ lol...

Hi,

Future Murse i applied for the spring 2009 class and i have an interview coming up soon. Have you already gone for your interview, if so how did it go and what kinds of questions did they ask? Also how long after the interview did you recieve your acceptance letter? I'm a bit nervous and a little curious. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also have you taken any pre-req?

Those of you starting the RN program this Fall, does anyone know the schedule of the nursing classes- days and times?
