some deals I could find so far:

Fundamentals of Nursing, $57.49+ship, ebay item#: 130236856947 (the email we received was missing a digit in the ISBN#, this is the correct book LWW has it for $66.46, I saved a few bucks here)

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, ebay or amazon $33.98+ship (LWW is $52.46)

Nutrition Essentials for Nursing Practice, LWW $34.96 (lowest on ebay was $47.73)

I avoid used, highlighted books unless it's a sick deal. I'm holding out on the others for now.

i have gotten the majority of my books of of half and amazon.com i use this website to find the the books for me ...www.bigwords.com/book/

and since money is tight (cant really work overtime because of school) i try not to buy books i dont really really need. personally, from that booklist they sent you, the only book we used was the potter and perry fundamentals. the psychiatric nursing book, the class faught as a whole not to purchase it becuase you dont take psych until 4th semester and its a waste just to read one chapter for the theraputic communications class(the school has the book so we asked if we could make copy for the one or two lectures that needed that book)a. the drug refrence and tabers dictionary is a must! you will discover what other little books you will need once class starts. once clinical start you have to make careplans and all though it isnt part of the book list you will find yourself buying a careplan/nursing diagnosis book. BUT thats just my opinion.....

I got accepted to night class for St. Vincent, I got wait listed for the fall class... I haven't met anyone who got in. Glad to hear someone else did. :up:

I glad to hear that you got in for the jan 2009 class. I just put in my application and will be taking the entrance exam. I was hoping to get into the jan 2009 class also but i think i might be to late for that class. I'll see what happens.

Thanks Tern. Good Luck! I don't think you are too late. I was actually looking forward to getting in the fall class that is why I applied early. I have friends that were interested in applying for the January class but the school was not giving out applications, they just got their applications about a month ago.
