Anyone accepted for the Fall 2008 semester? I just got my acceptance letter!!! Yay!!! :) :yeah:

I'm on Long Island too, I'll be driving to and from classes. I'll have to drop the kids off at daycare first though of course.

I wonder where the new clinical sites will be?

I'm So Excited:yeah: lol

Hey

i did my cna through Boces.... do u currently live on Long island...will u be commuting?? if so will u take the LiRR.

Will u be a day or evening student??

Yes I'm in Smithtown now. The LIRR + metrocard (bus) pass is around $300/month. Like stiltarget mentioned, they were looking at a new location (I was told closer to Nassau) so I'm waiting to hear on that before deciding on commute. I'm a day student.

personaly, BSN is the way to go. in the distant future i really want to get my CRNA so BSN---MSN is my route. NURSING HOME?lolol, not for me since i already work at Mt Sinai and a few other hospitals i am offered intership in there ICU or emergancy department. a few of my old friends are in the ED and they really like it so im gonna try my way with the hospitals..i really belive LTC is a graveyard for graduating RN's( no direspect to nursing home RN's)so when your done try your best to get into a hospital.

one friend of mine as a new grad ADN started in the ED making 71,k with night diff another is making 69,5 days in the ICU..

Ok so I'll definitely will go to a hospital...plus u'll utilize your learned skills more. so what schools r u looking into...and how soon after u graduate r you going for your BSN?? also how does a CRNA differ from a doctor doing anesthesiology... hows job opportunities for that? so MT Sinai is a pretty good hospital...thats where your friends started making 70K?
