Anyone accepted for the Fall 2008 semester? I just got my acceptance letter!!! Yay!!! :) :yeah:

hi. im new but i jus wanted to know if the application process took a long time and if they look at gpa a lot. i did horribly on my a&p 1/2 nd micro nd also nutrition. i got c's in all these 4 classes. but i called in to asked nd they told me its better not to take it over but im scared that its going to affect my chances of getting accepted. my overall gpa right now is 2.8, last semester i got a 3.5 gpa. Im wondering if they look at gpa in general or just the last sememster? I already wrote the essay and is going to give it in tomorrow. So nervous and scared that im not going to get accepted. =/. please reply. thanks

Your G.P.A matters but they review that during your interview . The first step is to do well on your essay and exam. If you do well on your exam and get called for an interview make your you explain why you received c's im sure they can be understanding if you show that you will be able to handle their coursework.

Hey Guys i am a little confused, i thought there were a fall and jan(spring) only but reading previous blogs it seems like ther there are 3 separate...fall/jan/spring.

The Jan deadline to send applications iin s oct 9....Do you thinks all seats are filled already?

I want to get in for the Jan 2010 so bad...Extremely nervous about essay and entrance test.

There are two programs one in the fall(sept) and spring which is (jan). There def has to be a lot of seats opening because they are still having test dates and accepting applications. Good Luck and im sure if you get your application in soon youll have a exam date in a week or two.

thanks ap726. i finally gave in my application today. i got lost since i actually went to the old address. it was so hectic trying to figure out where to go but i finally got there. i got the exam on oct 2. im so nervous. going to study hard on the english portion. does anyone have suggestions on what to mainly concentrate on more? thanks

hey guys....sorry for so many questions but i am studying for the entrance exam i am doing good on the math and reading comprehension but on the verbal ability i am doing horrible....Are the verbal on the entrance test like whats in the RN review book? or is it easier...Thanks

I honestly thought the review book didn't help me at all on my entrance exam. =T Don't spend too much on the reading passages, it definitely slows you down.

I believe that there is another test date other than Oct 2. I know they have one Oct. 9. And since that is when the apps are due, the last test date would probably be the following Friday. Those who were accepted had to decide by Oct. 20 if they wanted to attend SPSON. As of last Friday, there are only 38 (out of 40) more spots opened. So good luck to everyone. =)

I actually took the exam twice. I had tried for last year's spring class as well, but I didn't do well. Which is why I don't think the review book helped. That is what I studied from the first time. I don't know how to help you study. -.- b/c the 2nd time, I didn't study at all b/c I just feel that the less pressure you have, the better. Verbal isn't a strong area for me, but I just did my best. Oddly enough, I did better with that mentality than reviewing. Lol So yes, I was accepted. Just take your time and read the questions through. Don't rush. & just relax. =)
