Anyone accepted for the Fall 2008 semester? I just got my acceptance letter!!! Yay!!! :) :yeah:

Specializes in LTC, Acute Care, Correctional.
Honestly I don't really remember the length of the exam....maybe 3.5 hours...not sure. Sorry. I didn't find the exam too difficult. The math was very much basic and I think as long as you can get through the study guide you should be fine. Just study the book as much as you can and you'll do fine. Good luck on the exam.

For January 2010 students-

Just a few questions regarding the application process.

- After sending out your application, how soon did the school respond with information about the entrance exam?

- Does anyone know if they've begun the interiew process yet?

- Has anyone been accepted yet?

for those who hav already taken the entrance exam..did u find the english part easy? especially vocabulary..my vocabulary isnt that great ive been reviewing sat vocabulary words..

This is for everyone taking the entrance exam for the Spring 2010...

I just took it 2 weeks ago. They give 90 minutes for the English which is not enough time because it is 88 questions. Normally that would be fine because it averages 1 minute per question which is standard. But not when you have to read 5 passages containing 5 paragraphs each, then answer questions about them. The math is 7o questions in 75 minutes I think and it's straight forward fractions, decimals,long division,long multiplication,integers ect. Overall I did not think the test was hard just not enough time and more like an SAT which I thought was biased and does not show the individuals ability as a student.

I hold a degree already and I'm an LPN. I didn't think the test was that difficult just not enough time to finish like I said above. I litterally had to fill in the blanks that I didn't get to answer and I never did that before in my life through any exam. Even the NY state board (which was hard) gives enough time. so just stay focus and pace yourself. Don't spend too much time reading. That was my mistake. Other then that I hope all goes well for everyone and myself and I guess I see what happens and maybe talk to someone at the school regarding that. Because I really don't know what they base their entrance on. If it is just the grade itself or overall. They had even called me to say there was a few opening for Sept. morning but I declined it because it's in the morning.

This is how the process went for me...

I picked up an application in June ... I took the exam on September 4th, received a call on September 11th scheduling an interview..... Had an interview on the 14th and recieved my acceptance letter today the 17th!!!!

Holy Smokes AP! Congrats. I thought the result were supposed to take a few weeks?? I just took my exam today. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the process is just as fast for the rest of us.

Not that many, I'd say 20 tops? The exam went well but felt pressed for time, as I'm sure everyone else did. Definitely had to guess a few questions due to the lack of time, which definitely didn't see well with me!

Yes the essay is very important! When i went for my interview they read my essay and i was asked questions based on what i wrote.
