Hi zip11236, How long after you submitted your application did you receive a response about the test date? Did u get a phone call or an e-mail?

Also, did u ever reschedule your test date? I find it to be difficult to get into contact with the school, I sent them a e-mail and I called, still no response.

Let me know how its going for you.

Thanks.

Hi....

I'm doing the essay required for the application right now and was wondering if it should be one page singled spaced or double spaced?... Those who have submitted your essay already please help!!.. i heard the essay is really important!

I've spent about a month in this school already and I really like it. You learn so much and they're so knowledgeable and they want to see you succeed. If you manage to get into this school, consider yourself lucky.

Yes the essay is very important. Although the interview is more important, but thats when your foot is actually in the door and they are considering you.

In 2001 when I started, the essay I wrote was one page single spaced . I also think the essay word limit was set so people would not write dissertations. If you could relate a personal experience with yourself or a family member to the reason you want to become a nurse, it would be helpfull. Avoid mentioning that its because of the salaries nurses earn, or to be around doctors etc.

Good Luck!!!

I applied to St. Vincent for the spring 09 semester, what was the test and waiting peroid after you took the test. If you don't mind was your gpa very high and how long after did you wait for your interview. I'm actually taking the test on 02/20/09. I really studied hard for the test, wish me luck!

Hi, I will take the test tomorrow also.... im still studying. Did u buy the book?

HEY GUYS, I ve been researching SVCMC and have found your posts- a few concerns.....1st- they are being sold and changing buildings to somewhere in Lake success??? The name of their new school is unknown, because the deal isnt finalized and they will no longer be St Vincents AND whats up with no NLN acc.? Doesnt that mean that graduate schools will not take as many credits as nln schools will- Ive heard instead of like 70 credits, non nln take only like 30 credits max! Thats more than double the time for a bachelors????SO WHATS the deal???

AND the acceptance letters are either out....or started. i got mine- super excited just worried about the concerns listed above. Hoping this school isnt going under or is gonna be called tech school of nursing instead of its recongnizable current name affliated with a hospital.

what???? already got accepted??? i didnt even take their exam yet.... omg what if all seats are taken....

I was wondering in 0ne 0f the essay questi0ns. Why you would wanna go to SVCM? I've been trying to search all over about the school, I couldn't find much inf0rmati0n. Any suggestions anyone? is it advisable to apply to their school? coz I failed eng101 and for sure I couldn't go into any cuny school program. So, I'm really worried right now about my situation. I wanna congratulate everyone who got in, I wish you all the best. I'm so jealous and worried right now. Hmph. OH yeah are they really strict with accpeting people?
