I have applied to SLU's psych NP program for spring 2013. Is anyone applying or attending this online university? Looking to connect with others who are either planning to attend or have experience with the school. Any NP fields please reply. Thank you!

I am in my first year (actually my first day!) of attending SLU's ACNP program. Obviously I cannot tell you a lot about the program other than to say they appear to be well organized. They are one of the more expensive programs but it was the one that worked best for me.

Thanks for your reply! Good luck with the program. Are you attending FT or PT? Are you working while attending? I know the first few courses are the same for all students. I would love to hear more about your impression and experience. Feel free to PM me or post it here. Again, good luck and keep me posted!

mtsteelhorse, I too am applying to SLU for spring 2013, psych also. Have you gotten a response yet? I am also applying to a few other programs so that I will have more than one shot at getting accepted somewhere, heck anywhere! I just don't want to be sitting idle come January. Look forward to meeting you if we both are excepted. I too was hoping to get some feedback from others on the program. Please share any info and I will do the same.

So glad I posted this! I haven't heard anything back. The deadline is Sept 1st. I have been told we'll know anywhere from mid Oct to early Nov depending on who you speak with. Have you heard much about the program? Do you have a psych background? Keep me posted! Could you share with me where else you've applied? I was accepted to Drexel but the campus visits are hefty! Good luck...hope to hear from you. :)

I am going part-time while I continue to work full-time. Would prefer it was the other way around but gotta pay the bills!

Well let me know how that works for you...and what the rigors of the program are like. When do you think you'll be finished?

Definitely will...good luck!

I've applied for spring 2013 FNP at SLU and no word so far. Haven't been called for an interview either. Starting to get really discouraged. :(

Well, I called to check this and they said the powers that be are still in the process of decision making. This is certainly better than: "Notices were already sent out. Did you not receive one?" LOL, I am crossing my fingers for us. Keep me posted and I'll do the same. Did they tell you end of Oct/first of Nov? That's what I was told.
