Sacramento State Spring 2016 Application

Published

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this website and I'm planning on applying for Spring 2016. I know we still have a couple months before the application opens but I'm anxious! I've been looking forward to applying and can't wait to get going. Anyone else applying for next spring?

Thanks!

Yes! I did! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Congrats!! You should join our FB group. :D See you in January!

I have not. Still waiting...

I'm really hoping we get it soon. I know we have a bunch more hoops to jump through and I want to get this finished sooner rather than later.

I've been communicating with ---------- because I'm going out of the country but she said they are hoping to get the checklist sent out in the next couple days.

I was able to complete everything within about a week but it's basically your immunizations, a drug test, uploading a few documents, and ordering your scrubs.

Thanks for this information! :D I know in previous semesters they've had some sample scrubs to try on so we could know what size to order. Do you know if they have that now?

Has anyone already completed, or scheduled their CPR certification training course? If you have which one are you taking (American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Providers, or the CPR for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider course by the Red Cross)?

I signed up for the class given through Sac State's Continuing Education dept. If you're already a student, you can get a discount (cost of $35). I'm taking the class next Saturday, the 19th.

I have already completed mine a few months ago for a job. It was a fun morning course. I got the BLS but it's through the Red Cross. I am wondering if there was some error on the email because the BLS is provided by the Red Cross too.

I'm pretty sure this is the case because I can't seem to find any course's called "CPR for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider." "BLS for Healthcare Providers" is the only one that seems to be available.

I signed up for the Jan 8th class. It's the BLS for Healthcare Providers from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. It should make for a fun Friday night, lol!

Yep I went in on Tuesday to try them on! Just stop by Folsom Hall.

Hi everyone! I'm sure everyone is plenty busy completing the Pre-Entry Checklist, but I have a quick question. How exactly do clinical's work as far as placement? Do we rotate hospitals each semester/year? Or do we stay at the same facility and go through the different floors (if so how often do we change units)? Also do we stay with the same people (our cohort) throughout nursing school or do these change as well? Thank you in advance :)!
