Hello! Welcome, and Good Luck, everybody applying!
I officially applied with 68 points. I feel extremely confident that I will be placed on the Alternate List hahaha.
My stats:
Adjusted (and non-adjusted) GPA: 4.0 - 40 points
Teas 88.0 - 17 points
Health Experience- 3 points
First Gen College student- 4 points
Environmental Background - 2 points
No omissions- 2 points
Total: 68
I did attend a workshop on 2/5/2020 and spoke to Heidi. I was trying to see if I can get 4 points for Environmental Background since I have an Associates Degree from ARC and ALL of my pre-reqs are local. However, I received a Bachelor's Degree from Sac State so for this application, I am considered a "Sac State local - 2 points." This blows for me since going from 68 to 70 would be HUGE! However, I feel confident as I know many people have gotten into the program with a score of 68 and I do have an advantage with the tie breaker since my non-adjusted GPA is also a 4.0. Heidi says that they allow more alternates for Fall rounds because SO many people tend to decline the offer and last Fall they went up to #39 on the Alternate List.
So.....here's hoping! haha ?
