Hello, I thought I would start a thread for those applying for Sac State's BSN program from Fall 2017 since applications will be here before we know it. Curious to see the GPA's and TEAS scores for that application period.

Couple more days...

Good luck everyone!

For those who were admitted to the Fall 2017 cohort, there is a Facebook group you can join: "Sac State Nursing Class of Spring 2019."

Sorry for the double post but I thought maybe I'd have a better chance at a quick response by posting the same question on both Sac State Fall '17 threads.

Just wanted to double check with you all that the castle branch link is still unavailable. I keep looking but haven't seen it and I wanted to make sure I wasn't just missing the link somewhere. Thank you all!

I keep checking and nothing:(

I keep checking and nothing:(

Well alright:) Thanks so much for the response. I'm generally pretty adept at following instructions etc, but this process has been a little confusing! I really appreciate the confirmation though so thank you!

I had the same thought. If I am struggling with this, nursing classes should be interesting í ½í¸¯

Hey guys! Just a quick question for anybody who is familiar with the admissions process. I've read the policies online regarding repeating and in progress courses but I wanted to clarify; if I am applying for Spring 2018 I understand that I need to have my English courses already completed in order to be accepted into the University as a transfer. But for the nursing school application, if I decided to retake English in the Fall (in order to boost my GPA), would my first grade no longer be factored into my nursing GPA due to the fact that my repeat would be "in progress?"

I believe you are correct. I basically did the same thing but with Statistics instead of English. I don't have the admissions information in front of me at the moment. I'll try to remember to double check and confirm a little later this weekend. But I know that when applying to the university I used my old stats grade and then was able to apply with my new stats class in progress for the actual nursing program. I would encourage you to really make the effort to get an A in the new english course even though it will not be calculated into your nursing GPA when applying. Hope this helps!

Thanks for such a swift reply! Yes essentially I'm hoping to do exactly what you did with your stats grade. Definitely plan to get an A this time :)

Any of you joining the CSNA? It's not that I don't want to be supportive of our program, but the $40 membership doesn't really get us any better prices than does just ordering from amazon and some of the other medical supply companies online. What are you all thinking about this? Thanks!
