Sac State Fall 2017
That's great.. I may have to check out your pro-pack and clipboard once school starts and see if they seem like things I would really use. I was a little torn on those items and decided against them for now only because i hate buying things I don't end up using and figured I could always order them later on. I definitely considered them though. I ended up buying the Classic III on medisave. Everything else is in my amazon cart right now. Thanks for your response, I appreciate you sharing.

Hey StudentNurseMamaBear, would you mind sharing which supplies you went with? I am thinking I'll order the Classic III, but not sure about the blood pressure cuff and other supplies. I think they probably matter somewhat less than the stethoscope and are all cheaper than the stethoscope, but none the less, I am curious what other people are going with. Thanks for the Medisave suggestion also, is it true they do not charge taxes to their listed price? What about shipping? I'll check their prices against Amazon! Thanks again:)

Littman Cardiology IV or Classic III for nursing student?
So I am in the same situation trying to decide between the same two scopes. It cracks me up, one person says definitely go with the classic, the next says definitely go with the cardio. Which did you decide on? Thanks!

Sac State Fall 2017
Hey thank you so much for the reply. I appreciate hearing your opinion and about the potential other benefits of joining. I think I'll go ahed and join myself, even if I don't order all of my supplies through the CSNA. Thanks again!

Any of you joining the CSNA? It's not that I don't want to be supportive of our program, but the $40 membership doesn't really get us any better prices than does just ordering from amazon and some of the other medical supply companies online. What are you all thinking about this? Thanks!

Sacramento State Fall 2017
I believe you are correct. I basically did the same thing but with Statistics instead of English. I don't have the admissions information in front of me at the moment. I'll try to remember to double check and confirm a little later this weekend. But I know that when applying to the university I used my old stats grade and then was able to apply with my new stats class in progress for the actual nursing program. I would encourage you to really make the effort to get an A in the new english course even though it will not be calculated into your nursing GPA when applying. Hope this helps!

Well alright:) Thanks so much for the response. I'm generally pretty adept at following instructions etc, but this process has been a little confusing! I really appreciate the confirmation though so thank you!

Sorry for the double post but I thought maybe I'd have a better chance at a quick response by posting the same question on both Sac State Fall '17 threads. Just wanted to double check with you all that the castle branch link is still unavailable. I keep looking but haven't seen it and I wanted to make sure I wasn't just missing the link somewhere. Thank you all!

Question for nurses that are male...
For the record, I am not attempting to make or support the argument that males are worth more money than females in the nursing profession. I just want that to be clear. However, the examples above are are anecdotal at best. And not that I never present anecdotal information, but when I do I sincerely try and make the effort to accept and acknowledge it as such. If we are going to argue about who in general, takes more sick days etc., I would like to see us present evidence based/statistically valid information based on scientific studies rather than simply present personal experiences as arguments, which we should understand generally do not mean very much. And that is not to say that anecdotes don't have any meaning, but we should be able to accept them for what they are.
