Wow, seems like no one is applying here or maybe we just have a lot of readers. In any case i hope to apply for the accelerated nursing program for Fall 2015. originally, it was to be Spring 2016 because i haven't finished prereqs but I'm hoping to be done next spring (of 2015) and hoping they extend the deadline. Anyone else?!!
Do you think they could lose my transcripts? I don't think they would but if they do and I have to send it again then I'm going to have to wait and might not get there by the deadline
nursingcas did lose one of my transcripts, and it sucked. i ended up having to expedite the second copy, which was expensive. if you do expedite your transcript, make sure you use their street address for fedex or ups, and not the PO box address -- i don't have it handy, but if you email or call they'll give it to you. (if you send it overnight fedex to the PO box, it's going to hang around the post office for a couple days before it gets to nursingcas -- learned that one the hard way!)
in february, which is i think a very busy time for nursingcas, most of my transcripts were received about a week to a week and a half after they were sent out, if that helps.
EDIT: i just want to clarify the difference between receiving and verifying -- nursingcas will send you an email within 10 business days of getting your transcript that just says "hey, we received your transcript". in my experience, this happens within a week to a week and a half from when the transcript went in the mail. the verification process happens after your transcripts have been received -- if you have multiple transcripts, this happens after your last transcript is received. the verification process takes a few weeks, and it's when they check your transcripts against the info you put in the transcript entry part of your app.
i applied to one program that had an earlier deadline, and nursingcas had received all my transcripts when i submitted my application, but had not verified them. it still turned out okay though :)
I am so confused by this whole process. I just sent in my application today (i know i am late) and I dont know where to send my transcripts to? I do not see any address and I am confused.Thank you,
If you applied to the Rutgers Newark or Rutgers New Brunswick 2nd-degree BSN programs, you had to submit your application through NursingCAS. You should send your transcripts to NursingCAS, like it says on the Rutgers site and also on the application itself. Here is the NursingCAS FAQ if you need more help.
The address is listed in all of those places, as well as on the transcript request forms in the NursingCAS app.
I am not applying to Rutgers anymore since I got accepted to NJCU but wanted to share some info for those that are.
For the BLS certification:
If you are taking the class close to the due date then you can send a copy of the receipt to their address and then email the proof of it once you get it even if it's past the due date.
Prerequisites:
The county college I am taking the prereqs requested for Rutgers take a LONG time to send their official transcripts to NursingCAS (took them almost 2 months to send in my fall official transcript) so I was worried that it wouldn't get verified on time. I called and the representative said that you can have your professors write an email to you stating that you are taking the class and in good standing with your current grade. You can then forward it to Rutgers. Make sure to send it to NursingCAS though so they have the official transcript.
Acceptance:
Email and/or letter will be sent by the end of June.
I hope this helps. Good luck to everybody!
Hey everybody!
I am a little late to this thread, but I just came across it. What fabulous information provided! I am applying to Rutgers in the Fall as well. I was curious to know how many of us there are out there and how many applicants typically apply to the program. If anyone has any info that would be great!
Crossing my fingers for all of us!

You are fine, people were accepted with under 3.3 gpa. They dont just go by that alone for admission.
