Rutgers Accelerated Nursing- Fall 2015 (Newark)

Published

Wow, seems like no one is applying here or maybe we just have a lot of readers. In any case i hope to apply for the accelerated nursing program for Fall 2015. originally, it was to be Spring 2016 because i haven't finished prereqs but I'm hoping to be done next spring (of 2015) and hoping they extend the deadline. Anyone else?!!

Hey SweetDream, I just got off the phone with someone at the Nursing admissions office, and they confirmed what johndabaker said :( :( -- apps won't be reviewed until the deadline has passed, and decisions will be sent out in the mail "by the end of June".

That seems like a long time. Most schools give their decisions by then. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. It may be a "safe" thing to just tell us. I'm still hoping we hear back sooner but if that is the case, so be it.

I hear you. I just heard back from NJCU, and they want a non-refundable $500 deposit by April 15 to reserve my spot or they'll give it to someone else... I feel pretty confident that I'll get into RU, but I also don't want to jinx myself by not putting down the deposit and then not having anywhere to go in the fall. Oh well, I'm sure it will work out one way or another.

I wanted to apply there as well but didn't finish my prereqs. They are affordable too. You can never be too sure. $500 is a lot but either way it's a risk, a risk of losing $500 or losing out on both schools. You just have to decided what is more important. Congratulations to you on getting in to NJCU.

I would risk the $500. It is safer that way. Anyway, I will send my application to Rutgers after the Spring semester is done since I am still finishing my pre-reqs.

That is what I was going to do initially until I heard you don't have to finish them all before applying but it looks like the grades will be out before a decision is even made but still I just want them to have it anyway.

Hey Guys!

I just graduated from newark campus full time absn program in January 2015. If you want to know anything let me know!! Totally willing to help~~

Each program has its goods and bads but honestly over all i had a good time i glad i went. The professors were good for the most part and the financial aid office always got back to me . I took out the schools insurance and never had an issue with my health records being lost. I took advantage of that insurance too it was awesome.

Theres a lot i can share just let me know :)!

I would love to hear about your experience! What was your class schedule like, did you have class every day all day? Did you start clinical right away and where did you do yours? What is the job search like now that you are done? What is your experience with financial aid, are there scholarships available? I'm sure I could think of more but those are a few things I would love to hear about for now :)

Oh congratulations on graduating. Definitely want to know any information you are willing to share. Did you start in spring or summer? When did you get your acceptance? How is the campus/ parking? Did you get full financial aid from the school or did u have to take out other loans? Where did u do clinicals? Is it hard getting a job (if u got one yet)? How much did the entire program cost would you say? What was your schedule like mostly? Thanks for stopping by, I reallly appreciate it.

Totally repeated many of your questions but I didn't see you post before í ½í¸

Hi, Donutball. Would you be able to post the schedule you had in all three terms or semesters? Say, 8-10/Monday/Subject. This information will be very helpful. Thank you.
