Who is still applying to Rutgers? Did you guys submit your applications yet? Anyone participated in the info chat session online the other day?

I just submitted my application this past week :) I did one of the chat sessions a few months ago and also went to an open house in the fall. I'm not sure when they are going to let us know about admissions decisions, though. On the website, it says applications are reviewed after the deadline... which has been moved to June 1, so I hope that's not the case. I asked about it in my email when I sent in my resume & personal statement, but didn't get a response :/

When I went to the open house in October, they were reviewing people's applications and accepting them on the spot for the Spring 2015 entrance. I wasn't going to be done with my pre-reqs until after the semester started so I didn't talk with an admissions person at the time, but the sense I got is that they are pretty eager for qualified applicants.

NursingCAS still hasn't verified my coursework, which is frustrating. I'm not sure if that affects anything other than my peace of mind, though.

I didn't even notice verification stuff. I just sent my transcript to them and got notified when they got it. They had a chat session online yesterday where you could ask questions . They have another one in March, maybe next week, you can still ask questions in the chat. I asked about how long it takes to review and they told me 4-6weeks. It's pretty cool that they had instant decision day last year, takes out the anxiety in waiting.

That's great! Did you apply to Newark or New Brunswick? Best of luck to you and every one!!! Did you finish the prereqs?

I applied to Newark, it's a much shorter commute than NB for me. And yes, I finished all my prereqs. My undergrad major was in biology and my degree program satisfied many of the prereqs already, which was really nice.

I hope so too, but they did the same thing last year and when I read the previous forums, I think people heard back before the extended deadlines.

SweetDream I called the School of Nursing today and was given another number to call. The woman I spoke to said that applications will be reviewed after the deadline and that the orientation is scheduled two weeks after that. That gives them a small window, but I'm guessing it will be close to June :nailbiting:

I don't believe that, the director tolde otherwise and they never did that last year or even the spring of this year because they kept extending the deadline and of that were the case it would be super late but we will see.
