Rutgers Accelerated BSN - Spring 2016

  1. Which Rutgers campus are you applying to for the ABSN program?

It's a little less than a month-and-a-half from the application due date for both campuses, and I'm up in the wee hours doing my best to ensure all the requirements are ticked off on my checklists :nailbiting:

I was unable to apply for the incoming Fall 2015 cohort, as I had more than three pre-reqs pending, but I'm hopeful to attend Rutgers' Newark campus in the spring. Anyone else excited/scared/unnerved with the application process (especially with NursingCAS; even with an upgrade to 3.0, it still does not seem any more intuitive), or has already completed it? Also, what are your interim plans while waiting for decisions?

After being a bit of stalker on the other threads (sorry!), I'm also hoping it won't turn into the debacle that has happened with the Fall 2015 acceptance letters... although,I might have just jinxed that, and maybe with an application deadline extension, to boot!

Here's to hoping this process goes well for all of us!

Mimi,

Do you happen to know why some people recevied emails last cycle? Did they specifically request them and what reasons did they provide ?

Thanks,

Lizzie

Ive never checked my spam folder so much in my entire life!

I just called Rutgers (at 9:45am this morning, 11/4) and the rep said that decisions will be received by us this week and by MAIL, not email. Ahhh!! Good luck to everyone!!:nurse:

Hi lte!

I was just placed on the wait list for the spring semester.. just curious as to how many people in your program, if any at all, we're initially wait listed. I'm praying I still have a fighting chance.

Anyone else get wait listed??

Bb18, how do you know you are waitlisted? How did they reach out to you?

Hey @bb18, I received an email this morning that I am waitlisted for this coming spring semester as well, but at New Brunswick only (I applied to both Newark and New Brunswick). I contacted the admissions office to ask if the waitlist status applied to both campuses, and I was told it did not- therefore, I think I'm to assume that the decision from Newark should be arriving in the mail sometime within the next week...

I'm hoping for that fighting chance as well! Best of luck to everyone!

Via email this morning... I'm guessing the wait listed applicants decisions will be emailed.. and the acceptances will be via regular mail.

Did it arrive in spam or regular inbox? What did the email address look like?

Hopefully this means that only acceptances are sent via regular mail & waitlist or rejection sent email ?? Fingers crossed for all of us

Regular inbox. With "Rutgers University - Accelerated BS in Nursing" as the subject.

Oh man, wouldn't that be a dream!!!!
