Rutgers ABSN Summer 2019

Hi Guys, I didn't see a thread for the Rutgers ABSN Summer 2019 so I figured I would start one.

Has anyone applied to the program?

does anyone know when clinicals start? I know NYU starts the first week, but I heard Rutgers clinicals don't start for a few weeks.

I believe I read the same somewhere. Orientation is April 2nd right? Has anyone completed the clinical clearance requirements? When is that to be completed by.

In the email (double-checked when I called).. they said clinical clearance items needed to be completed PRIOR TO ORIENTATION. Its a lot to get done in a short amount of time for the Newark cohort.

Hi is anyone else attending the New Brunswick campus looking for housing? Everything I have tried so far has been a dead end.

I scheduled my drug screen and immunizations for this weekend so I hope everything is done by orientation

I tried to order my clearance things but I think I need a student Id number, I emailed them and they replied saying the net id will come in an email within the next few weeks. I hope it doesn’t come too late

What have you tried? I’m looking into housing as well but haven’t looked too deep into it yet.

I just used my old NetID and student ID number. Are you a former student?

No I’m not, I actually applied in fall 2018 and they waitlisted me and offered me acceptance into spring 19 or summer 19, I chose summer since I was finishing up another course.

I tried to join the main facebook page but my request has been pending for like two weeks. I also posted on places4students but haven't had any luck there either.

Clinical starts Week 2, but you won't actually get to the hospital until like Week 9. It's all classroom stuff for the first 7ish weeks. You don't have to wear your uniforms for the classroom stuff unless it's a Skills Test Out day.
